July 13, 2014
The popular "Tetris with letters" word game Letris has just received another huge update.
Launched back in December 2011, Letris was given a major update last November. Dubbed Letris 3, that update introduced a new story mode (containing nearly 300 levels), weekly tournaments, and new graphics, sounds, and music. Check out the promo video for Letris 3 below:

Now, Letris 4 is here. And it essentially brings the multiplayer modes of Letris & Friends to the main Letris app. If you're a Letris & Friends player, you can continue playing the game in Letris 4 and all of your purchases will be carried over accordingly.
Letris 4 primarily features turn-based online multiplayer with three game modes:
New servers have been prepared to support the game's online multiplayer and weekend tournaments. Letris 4 also features the aforementioned Snake mode available to play offline in single-player setup. The new game modes as well as the already existing ones are accessible in the new main menu. The new version of the game also includes balance tweaks for the story mode and other minor improvements. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Letris 4 is available now on the App Store as a free-to-play game. Also available are the powered-up edition Letris Power and the Spanish TV game show tie-in Letris TVE.
- WORDMATRIX MODE: Clear the screen without deadlines or stress. The important thing here is to build the longest words to obtain the best score, but as you are clearing the board think hard when you make your last words so you don’t leave any letters. A very nice challenge!
- SNAKE MODE: 2 hectic minutes trying to build as many words as you can by joining consecutive letters. Words can not explain how much fun this game mode is. You have to check it out by yourself.
- LETRIS MODE: We cannot forget the mode the game is named after. When the blocks start falling you cannot stop building words by strategically using the power-ups you have.
