A month ago, Sega announced that it would soon come out with a new game called Sonic Jump Fever. Now, the gaming company has revealed that the new game starring the speedy title character is set to be launched this week.
Sonic Jump Fever is a follow-up to Sonic Jump, the popular vertical-scrolling platformer game first released for feature phones in 2005 and adapted for smartphones in 2012. The upcoming game is pretty much the "Blitz" edition of its predecessor, challenging you to jump to great heights as you race against the clock and beat your friends' scores in the leaderboards.
Sonic Jump Fever calls on you to:
Prepare to feel the FEVER in an explosive race against the clock! Join Sonic and friends in high-speed bursts of vertical jumping mayhem. Play for free and rack up huge combos to blast past your friends’ high scores. Use boosters, upgrades, unique character abilities and Chao pets to maximize your score. Then kick your game into overdrive with Fever Mode and hit the top of the Leaderboard! With brand new levels and leaderboards every week, the challenge never ends!Check out the trailer for Sonic Jump Fever: If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later, Sonic Jump Fever is scheduled to hit the App Store worldwide on Thursday, July 10. It has been in soft launch mode in Canada since April. Sonic Jump Fever is developed by Hardlight, the same studio behind Sonic Jump and the similarly popular endless runner Sonic Dash. Aside from Sonic Jump Fever, also coming later this summer from Sega is a new game set in the popular Super Monkey Ball universe called Super Monkey Ball Bounce.
