Streamline your entire workspace with the UNITI Stand for iMac, iPhone and iPad

July 28, 2014

UNITI Stand, a Kickstarter project that’s available to support now, offers a smart workspace for iMac, iPhone, and iPad owners.

The smart project is a stand that’s designed to support either an iMac or one of Apple’s Thunderbolt Displays. Cables are kept hidden and out of view, and the aluminium design perfectly matches the appearance of Apple’s own computer and displays.

Usefully, however, UNITI also supports modular mounts for iPhones and iPads, allowing owners to situate their smartphone or tablet alongside their iMac or Thunderbolt Display in order to create a more effective workstation (as pictured above). UNITI supports iPhones and iPads with or without cases, too, which certain users will clearly find useful.

On the front of UNITI are a couple of USB 3.0 ports and a 3.5 mm audio jack, allowing users to easily connect up a thumb drive or USB-connected device, and a pair of earphones or headphones. Underneath UNITI is space for Apple’s Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, meaning the workstation will look neat and tidy when not in use.

You can pledge to receive a UNITI stand for $109, or for a complete set (which also includes a cradle for an iOS device), users will need to pledge $159. At present, the project has amassed almost $42,000 of its $45,000 funding goal, and given that 19 days remain we’re expecting UNITI to reach this target.

For more information, including the option of supporting the UNITI project and “preordering” the product, head over to the project’s Kickstarter Web page.
