UpWord Notes 2.0 features 'next-gen' swipe gestures and other enhancements
UpWord Notes, the popular “Mailbox for notes” app created by Unsplurge developer Lau Brothers, has just received another major update — apparently its biggest update yet.
Released last February, UpWord received its first major update just about a month ago, bringing it to version 1.1 with support for recurring reminders along with Dropbox sync improvements and new personalization options.
Now, UpWord has been updated to version 2.0 with several significant new features plus more improvements.
Perhaps most notably, UpWord 2.0 introduces swipe gestures described by Lau Brothers as “next-gen.” “No need to place the cursor before swiping to cross off or add bullets,” the developer notes. “Swipe on ANY text and it will magically get formatted. This even works when the keyboard is hidden.”

Instead of copying an item and pasting it elsewhere in a list, just press and hold on an item you'd like to move in a list until its text shakes, then drag the text to its new position in the list.
In a similar manner, the updated app now also lets you reorder your notes and folders by dragging and dropping them.
UpWord 2.0 also brings support for saving to Evernote (in addition to syncing via Dropbox), new sounds for swipe and pull-to-clear gestures, x-url-callback for search, and bug fixes.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later, version 2.0 of UpWord Notes is available now on the App Store. Previously priced at $0.99, the app is currently downloadable for free.
