AOL: Mail, News, Weather & Video goes 2.0 with new mail enhancements

AOL has just updated its official mail, news, weather and video app to version 2.0 with several significant enhancements, albeit focused only on the app's mail component. AOL: Mail, News, Weather & Video 2.0 adds support for push notifications for new email messages as well as breaking news. It also features a unified list of AOL contacts and device contacts. Moreover, it boasts streamlined navigation throughout the app and introduces swipe gestures for easy inbox management. As outlined by AOL, the app's enhanced mail feature lets you:
  • Instantly manage your AOL Mail from anywhere
  • See the number of unread email messages right on your home screen
  • Access all your AOL and phone contacts easily, in one place
  • Swipe to delete, move, mark or flag emails
  • Tap just once to empty all trash and spam,/li>
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later, AOL: Mail, News, Weather & Video 2.0 is available now on the App Store for free. AOL: Mail, News, Weather & Video was released for iPad in June last year. It was updated with universal support for iPhone and iPod touch in October and a new design for iOS 7 last May.
