My kids are huge fans of the PBS TV series “The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That.” And an iPad app inspired by the show has just gone free for the first time ever.
Dr. Seuss's The Cat in the Hat Color & Create! is a fun coloring and activity app made for kids 5 and under.
Kids will get the chance to be creative with two coloring packs and 16 total pages to color. Some of the fun tools available include a confetti cannon, an animated magic hat effect, crayons, stickers, patterns, and a tap-to-fill paint bucket.
The nice sharing tool also makes it easy for parents to send their children’s paintings to friends and family.
I just returned from a road trip this weekend, and this app definitely kept both of my kids entertained on our long journey. It’s a must-have app for parents now that it is free.
Designed for both the iPad and iPad mini, Dr. Seuss's The Cat in the Hat Color & Create! can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. There are a number of in-app purchases available to unlock other coloring packs.
If you’re looking for other apps that have just switched over to being free, definitely take a look at our Apps Gone Free column, which is published daily at AppAdvice. There is even a free companion iOS app you can download now.
