Mailbox for Mac arrives in a public beta version
After first being announced back in April, a public beta version of Mailbox for Mac is now available. But just like the iOS app rollout in 2013, you’ll need to be patient.
First, sign up for the wait list on the Mailbox site. In a blog post, the company describes how the beta program will work:
Here’s how the beta rollout works: if you signed up for the wait list, keep an eye on your email over the coming weeks — we’ll be sending you a small attachment that we call a betacoin. This coin will unlock your copy of Mailbox for Mac and turn on the mobile “snooze to desktop” feature.
Mailbox is promising that they will continue to improve the product and increase the number of testers over the coming weeks.
With the rollout of the desktop version, the iOS app will also receive a nice new feature – draft support. Coming soon, the update will help manage an inbox across multiple devices.
A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, Mailbox can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
