Sprint takes on AT&T and Verizon with new Family Share Pack shared data plan

August 19, 2014

Sprint has just announced a new shared data plan in a bid to take on the apparently more popular plans of AT&T and Verizon.

Dubbed the Sprint Family Share Pack, the new plan is touted for its higher data allocations at lower prices than the corresponding plans of the aforementioned rival carriers of Sprint.

The new plan allows a family to apply for up to 10 lines with a 20GB shared data bucket and unlimited talk and text for $100 per month through 2015. But the shared data bucket can be increased to up to 40GB thanks to a promo that provides an additional 2GB per line.

See the pricing chart below for reference.

The shared data bucket may be consumed on smartphones, basic phones, tablets, and mobile broadband devices, including, of course, iPhones and iPads.

As indicated in the pricing chart, there are certain charges for data access to devices. But Sprint is waiving these charges on 20GB or higher data allowances for up to 10 lines for customers switching from another carrier.

The Sprint Family Share Pack will be available starting Friday, Aug. 22.
