The Yahoo Mail app for iOS devices has just been updated to version 3.2, adding a new and improved search experience.
With the app, users can now find messages, photos, and other attachments by typing in just the sender’s name.
While typing in a name, the app will offer smart search suggestions, composed of both people and messages, to help narrow down the search results.
Once a sender has been selected, the results are filtered by messages, photos, and files. The photo view is beautiful and was inspired by Flickr. Clicking an image in the gallery brings up a full-sized version.
A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, Yahoo Mail can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
Before today’s update, the last major version of the app arrived in April. Version 3.0 brought personalized news, search capability, weather, sports, stock information, and a News Digest.
