Apple unveils an official free iOS 8 user guide for the iPad and iPhone
Now that iOS 8 has arrived to the public, Apple has just unveiled a detailed user guide for the new software. A free book can now be downloaded on the iBooks Store for the iPhone, iPad, and even iPod touch.
The iPhone guide covers iOS 8 on the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, and iPhone 4s. The iPad version tackles the iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad 2.
Each edition is around 150 pages long and looks to be a comprehensive primer on the new OS. Along with beginners, I suspect even iOS veterans could learn something from the guide.
The software update is available to download over-the-air or directly from iTunes. If you’re interested in learning more about some of the major new features, read up on some of the best third-party keyboards you can install and our primer on how extensions work in iOS 8.
