Official running game based on 'The Maze Runner' sci-fi movie arrives on iOS
The official iOS game of “The Maze Runner” has arrived on the App Store, ahead of the theatrical premiere of the “Hunger Games“-esque science fiction action thriller film.
Also called The Maze Runner, the game is, as you may expect, a running game. It even looks as though it’s a new edition of Temple Run set in the titular labyrinth. Actually, though, The Maze Runner is not an endless running game. Rather, it’s a time-limited level-based running game.
In The Maze Runner, you play as various playable characters called Gladers, who are trapped in the center of a deadly yet seemingly alive maze with no memory of how they got here. To unlock the mystery of the Glade, you have to run through the maze and collect clues while trying to dodge different obstacles and racing against the clock in each level.

The game is developed by PikPok, the same studio behind the movie tie-in games DreamWorks Dragons: TapDragonDrop and Turbo Fast.
Based on the young-adult post-apocalyptic novel of the same name, “The Maze Runner” is scheduled to hit theaters tomorrow, Sept. 19.
