Happy iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launch day! If you were lucky enough to preorder or stand in line to snag one of the new handsets, take a look at last week’s roundup featuring many other cases you can order now. This week, we’re focusing on even more protection options for the iPhones. As always, keep with us each Friday as we will continue to highlight some of the newest cases and other new accessories.
If you need a case quickly, Apple’s official options for both new handsets seem to be the way to go. They should be available to purchase at your local Apple Store – if you’re willing to battle the huge crowds today.
Leather Case: Made with premium leather, the pictured case attaches snugly to an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. A soft microfiber lining on the inside helps protect the back of the handset. It’s available for both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in one of five color choices – black, red, blue, brown, and pink. The iPhone 6 version is $45 while the iPhone 6 Plus version is $5 more.
Silicone Case: If leather isn’t for you, Apple also has a silicone version of its case for the new iPhones. Buyers can select from one of six colors – black, white, pink, blue, green, and (PRODUCT)RED. The iPhone 6 version is $35 while the version for the larger handset is $4 more.
Incipio also looks to be another good bet to get a case soon, especially for the iPhone 6.
Dualpro: Available for both iPhone models, the Dualpro offers two layers of protection – a hard exterior shell and a softer inner core. The case is $29.99 and available in six different color combinations. The iPhone 6 version can be ordered now while the iPhone 6 Plus case is on preorder. It’s expected to ship in one week.
NGP: Just for the iPhone 6 Plus, the slim NGP is made with stretch and tear resistant soft material. It’s also easy to hold. Five colors – blue, red, green, clear, and pink – are available to order now. The case costs $19.99.
Watson: For the iPhone 6, the pictured Watson folio is highlighted by its removable, snap on shell and leather cover. The folio itself has three card slots to hold cash or credit cards. It will set you back $44.99. It can be preordered now and is expected to ship in a week. There are four different color combinations to select from.
Also, take a look at Griffin’s wide variety of cases. These two cases are now shipping.
Survivor All-Terrain: One of the rugged case standards, the pictured Survivor All-Terrain is designed to protect an iPhone from extreme conditions like drops, dust, sand, rain, impacts, vibrations, and more. The handset is protected by four separate layers, including a built-in screen protector. All buttons and ports are covered or protected with hinged plugs. An included belt clip can attach the phone to a belt or strap. The iPhone 6 version is $49.99 while the iPhone 6 Plus case costs $10 more. There are a number of color combinations to select from.
Survivor Core: Offering a nice amount of protection in a sleeker form factor, the Survivor Slim is made with flexible rubber. The one-piece snap on shell should protect a handset from drops of up to 6 feet. The case is $29.99 for both the iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6. Available in black or purple, it can be ordered now.
PureGear has a number of new cases for both handsets. The entire line is currently sold out, but you can sign up and be notified when the cases are back in stock.
Hip Case+: Just for the iPhone 6, the pictured Hip Case+ offers a number of layers of functionality. Along with a two-slot ID or credit card holder, the kickstand can place your phone in a perfect media viewing angle. The clip can attach your handset to a belt, purse, or backpack. It retails for $34.99, and buyers can select from either the pictured black or gray version.
DualTek Extreme Shock Case: A more rugged case choice, the DualTek Extreme is highlighted by its shock absorbing corners that helps isolate and control vibration from drops of up to 6 feet. Its dual-layer construction also features an ergonomic grip that is easy to hold. It retails for $34.99 and is for both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Buyers can select from five different color choices for the iPhone 6 version – black, white, blue, orchid, and yellow. The case for the larger handset is available in black or white.
Express Folio: Available in either canvas or leather-like material, the Express Folio can hold up to three different credit cards. The magnetic flap doubles as a kickstand. Both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus versions retail for $39.99.
Slim Shell: As the name suggests, the Slim Shell is designed to protect the iPhone with a minimal amount of bulk. It retails for $24.99. The iPhone 6 version is available in seven different colors while the Plus case has four different options.
All of these iPhone 6 cases from SwitchEasy cost less than $20 and can be preordered now.
0.35: Living up to its name, this pictured case will add just 0.35 mm thickness to the new iPhone. It also weighs just four grams. Made from a flexible and scratch-resistant material, it costs $14.99 and is available in red, blue, yellow, white, and black.
Numbers: Available in six different colors, the Numbers is made from soft material and also includes integrated connector protectors. It can be preordered now for $19.99.
Odyssey: Made with two different materials, the Odyssey is designed to quickly and easily attach or detach from the iPhone 6. It’s $19.99 and available to preorder in pink or black.
You’ll have to wait two to three weeks for these cases, but for a good reason – each case is handmade by the company in San Francisco.
Slim Vegan Tan Wallet: This vegetable tanned leather case offers an exterior pocket for cards and cash. It is soft to the touch and will age gracefully with age, eventually turning into a darker caramel color. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus edition each retail for $49.95.
Durables Wallet: A more spacious wallet-type case, the Durables features two different slots for cash or credit cards. The exterior is made with waxed canvas and leather while the interior features colorful cotton. The iPhone 6 version retails for $49.95 while the iPhone 6 Plus edition is $10 more. Buyers can select from a pictured black, blue, or brown version.
WaterField makes the tired holster look new again with their latest case.
Spinn Case: Along with being made with beautiful leather, the Spinn Case helps keep earbuds tangle free and readily available. A suede inner lining helps protect the iPhone’s case and shell. It retails for $59 without a clip and $69 with a belt clip. There is a version available for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Buyers can select from one of three leather colors.
