Boost Mobile will start offering the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus next week with a $100 discount
Boost Mobile is jumping on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus train. The prepaid carrier, part of Sprint, will start offering both handsets next week on Friday, Oct. 17. CNET first reported the news.
And the carrier offers a unique service model. Customers will need to pay for their service upfront and then add money to an account to keep it active. Along with no contracts, Boost boasts no overage fees or roaming charges.
Even so, you will have to pay almost full price for the iPhones. Here’s a rundown of Boost handset prices:
iPhone 6 16GB: $549.99 iPhone 6 64GB: $649.99 iPhone 6 128GB: $749.99 iPhone 6 Plus 16GB: $649.99 iPhone 6 Plus 64GB: $749.99 iPhone 6 Plus 128GB: $849.99
Customers can select from three plans that include unlimited talk and text. If you sign up before Monday, Nov. 3, the plan with 1GB of high-speed 3G/4G data is $35 per month. A mid-range tier with 5GB of data is $45 per month while $10 more will net you 10GB of data to use every month.
If you surpass the data allotment, you’ll be throttled down to 2G speeds for the remainder of the billing cycle.
