LinkedIn unveils new SlideShare Presentations app for iOS

October 3, 2014

LinkedIn has just released the first iOS app of its popular presentation service, SlideShare.

Aptly called SlideShare Presentations, the app lets you browse and view millions of presentations hosted on the service. What’s more, it offers a personalized feed containing presentations uploaded and liked across your network and based on your preferred categories.

The app also notifies you when someone in your network uploads a new presentation. It also features a couple of “SlideShares of the Day” through its Today widget in iOS 8′s Notification Center.

Furthermore, SlideShare Presentations supports full-screen and full-color viewing of presentations whether in portrait or landscape mode. It also allows saving of presentations for offline viewing and sharing of the same via SlideShare, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, email, or text.

The app is designed for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 8.0 or later, and is already optimized for the Retina HD displays of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus.

SlideShare Presentations is available now on the App Store for free.
