Twitter for Mac updated with multi-photo sharing and photo support in direct messages
Twitter has just issued a new update to its official app for Mac.
Now at version 3.1, the newly updated Twitter for Mac features support for sharing multiple photos. Specifically, the app now lets you view and post tweets with up to four attached photos.
In addition, the new version of Twitter for Mac lets you send and view photos in direct messages.
These photos features were first added by Twitter to its official app for iOS. The multi-photo sharing feature was added to Twitter for iOS last March and has since been integrated into third-party apps, most notably including Tweetbot for iOS. Photo support in direct messages was introduced to Twitter for iOS back in December last year.
The latest update to Twitter for Mac also delivers some performance improvements and bug fixes.
This is the first major update to arrive for Twitter for Mac since the app’s 3.0 update in December last year, which added support for photo previews, tweet details, and enhanced profile views.
