Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Unity gets second-screen companion app on iOS
Just in time for its release this week, Assassin’s Creed Unity has been given the second-screen companion app treatment on iOS with the launch of the aptly named Assassin’s Creed Unity Companion on the App Store.
Developed by Ubisoft for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One, Assassin’s Creed Unity is the latest major installment in the popular Assassin’s Creed series of historical fiction action-adventure video games.
Its official iOS companion app’s marquee feature is an interactive map of Paris during the French Revolution, the setting of the main game:
Paris at the tips of your fingers. Navigate around a fully 3D map, place a Helix marker to plan your missions, easily locate yourself, your Co-op friends and enemies, and see map updates, all in real time.

The app also challenges you to solve hidden glyph puzzles on famous Paris landmarks on the map, enabling you to unlock Nomad Brotherhood missions.
Assassin’s Creed Unity Companion also provides information on wearable items, database entries, and more in Assassin’s Creed Unity.
The app syncs with the game via a Uplay account.
Last week, the official iOS companion app of Activision’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was released, featuring clan wars, an emblem editor, and more.
