Weather app Seasonality Go updated with universal support for the iPhone and more

November 6, 2014

As a self-professed weather nerd, I can never have too many weather tracking apps on my iOS devices. And one of my favorites, Seasonality Go, has just taken a big leap forward with the introduction of version 3.0.

Most importantly, the once iPad only title is now universal for the iPhone and iPod touch. The new iPhone interface offers a tab-based format that is easy to navigate with just one hand. It is also optimized for the higher-resolution screens of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

And the iPad version has also been revamped with a new interface ready made for iOS 8.

Other improvements in the update include a new surface analysis map layer for North America that shows you current fronts along with high and low pressure centers.

A favorite feature of mine, the particle simulator has also been improved. A simulation of wind all around the world, users will be able to see more particles on screen, even when zooming in on the map.

Seasonality Go can be downloaded now on the App Store for $5.99. It requires users to have iOS 8.0 or later installed on their device.

While that might be more than most other apps, the customizable options and huge amount of accurate data makes it a great choice for anyone who is interested in the weather around them.
