What's up, dog? Microsoft unleashes new Kinectimals game for iOS

November 28, 2014

Kinectimals has gone to the dogs!

Fortunately, that doesn’t mean that the popular virtual pet franchise developed by Microsoft has deteriorated. Rather, it means that you can now play Kinectimals with dogs as well as cats with the release of Kinectimals Unleashed on iOS.

First launched in May on Windows devices, Kinectimals Unleashed is the canine follow-up to the original feline Kinectimals game. But while it also features cute cubs, its focus is on adorable puppies.

Kinectimals Unleashed invites players, especially the young ones and the young at heart, to play with and care for more than 85 furry four-legged friends.

It offers virtual adventures in the new dog island of Villeria and other locations, including the cat island of Lemuria from the original Kinectimals. It also features various dog-friendly activities, including agility courses, beach volleyball, and jump roping.

Kinectimals Unleashed is available now on the App Store as a free universal download, with in-app purchases offered for buying coins to unlock additional content.
