Status app updated with new messaging feature, iPhone 6 support and more
What’s the status for Status? Well, simply put, it’s “newly updated.”
Status is a simple social networking app that, by some iOS sensor mojo, automatically updates your status — e.g. “at work,” “driving,” “out of town,” or even “low battery” — for your family and close friends to see.
Since the app’s launch in September, one of the core benefits of Status has been its support for facilitating hangout and meet-up plans among friends. And now, following its latest update, Status lets you more easily make plans by asking your friends questions right within the app using its new Status Q’s messaging feature.
The latest update to Status also adds support for temporary location sharing, allowing you to share your location for just an hour, a day, or a week, instead of, you know, forever.
The new version of Status also features weather icons for out-of-town friends and four new badges, namely, “fit,” “early riser,” “hard worker,” and “power user.”
Furthermore, it includes bug fixes that allow you to disable analytics and update your home and work locations directly.
Oh, and the new Status update also boasts full resolution support for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
