Hipstamatic's Cinamatic lets you sprinkle some holiday cheer on your seasonal videos
In observance of the holiday season, and in celebration of its having been named by Apple as among the App Store's Best of 2014, Cinamatic has been updated with a new and festive film.
Called Nicholas (after the saint, natch), the new film features animated holiday effects that you can use to sprinkle more cheer on your seasonal videos right within the acclaimed video-editing app developed by Hipstamatic.
“By using face detection, the Nicholas Film in Cinamatic adds spirited fun to your videos,” Hipstamatic notes. “Throw in a few reindeer antlers, wiggly elf ears, a Santa hat and a big ol’ white beard to your friend’s faces — and you’ve got the best holiday video worthy of sharing! This might be the greatest excuse to send out a family video instead of those way-too-late cards. What are you waiting for? Kick back by the fire, sip some mulled wine, and create your masterpiece.”
You can get the new Nicholas film by accessing the Shop within the Clips section of Cinamatic.
Cinamatic received its last major update in October, with which it became “the first video app to fully integrate the new manual camera controls in iOS 8.”
The app earned an AppAdvice App of the Week honorable mention shortly after its release in May.
In addition to Cinamatic, Hipstamatic this year launched TinType, a photo-editing app for creating “hauntingly beautiful” and “soul capturing” pictures.
Hipstamatic also offers its namesake photo-editing app and the creative photo-sharing network Oggl.
