Check out Electronic Arts' stunning gameplay teaser for Need for Speed: No Limits

January 6, 2015

In November last year, Electronic Arts (EA) unveiled Need for Speed: No Limits, the latest installment in its wildly popular Need for Speed series of racing games. It did so with a teaser trailer featuring the popular professional rally driver Ken Block.

Now, EA has released a gameplay teaser trailer for Need for Speed: No Limits in the form of the half-minute video below, which shows off the game’s promised “insanely fast driving” and “incredible graphics”:

Apparently, the game is so subtitled because it’s about “your car, your streets, your rules.” “Stake your claim on the streets,” EA teases prospective players. “Burn rubber and dominate the competition to become the best behind the wheel in the newest white-knuckle street-racing experience on mobile.”

As gleaned by Pocket Gamer from the game’s official Twitter feed, Need for Speed: No Limits is free-to-play, is not a runner-style game, and is not equipped with MFi controller support at launch.

No definite release date has been announced for Need for Speed: No Limits, but EA says that it’s coming this year on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.

The game is currently being developed by Firemonkeys, the same EA studio behind Real Racing 3 and the mobile edition of Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

Currently, Electronic Arts offers Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Need for Speed Most Wanted, and the Need for Speed Rivals companion app Need for Speed Network on iOS. The previously released iOS editions of Need for Speed Shift and Need for Speed Undercover, though, are no longer available on the App Store.
