Microsoft expands availability of Office Sway, updates OneDrive with new features

January 9, 2015

Microsoft has just launched Office Sway for iPhone in more countries around the world. In addition, it has updated OneDrive for iOS with new features.

Office Sway, or Sway for short, is an app that lets you create interactive Web-based presentations with any combination of headers, photos, and text. It allows you to share your creations with your family, friends, and colleagues, who can view them without having to install the app itself or any additional software.

Sway was initially launched by Microsoft in New Zealand in November and soft-launched further in Australia in December.

Now, though, the company has expanded the app’s availability to more countries, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and other territories where English is an official language. Check out the “sway” below to see a complete list of supported countries as well as an overview of Sway:

If your country is included in the list, you can download Office Sway for iPhone from the App Store for free. It’s optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 8.0 or later, and already enhanced with full resolution support for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

As mentioned, Microsoft has also updated the official iOS app of its OneDrive cloud storage service. The new version of the app features document provider support, push notifications for shared files and folders, recycle bin support, and direct feedback sending, along with bug fixes and stability improvements.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later, OneDrive is available on the App Store for free.
