Mophie unveils Juice Pack battery cases for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
After a long wait, Mophie has finally unveiled its lineup of popular battery cases for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Users of the iPhone 6 can select from two different models – the Juice Pack Air or Juice Pack Plus. The thinner Air doubles the life of the handset with a 2,750 mAH battery and can provide up to an additional 17 hours of talk time. It retails for $99.95.
The larger Plus model features a 3,300 mAH cell, which is 120 percent larger than the iPhone 6’s internal battery. The $119.95 case is also highlighted by a new impact-isolation system and internal bumpers that protect the edges and corners of the handset.
The Juice Pack for the iPhone 6 Plus contains a 2,600 mAH battery, which will add 60 percent more power to the larger handset. It is also $99.95.
Just like previous models, LED power indicator lights on the back of the case show how much juice is remaining. To charge your phone from the case, just flip on the integrated standby switch.
All three case models can be preordered now from Mophie’s site. Shipping time is quoted as three to four weeks. Buyers can select from a black, white, or gold version of each case.
A number of accessories, like a desk dock, car dock, hip holster, and belt clip designed specifically for the cases are all listed as coming soon.
