Rovio rolls out first update to Angry Birds Transformers featuring 'Deceptihogs Revenge'
Rovio has just rolled out the first update to Angry Birds Transformers.
Officially released in October last year, Angry Birds Transformers is a side-scrolling shoot ‘em up adventure game featuring “birds disguised as robots in disguise.” That is to say, it features characters from Rovio’s Angry Birds and Hasbro’s Transformers franchises.
In Angry Birds Transformers, the Autobirds team up with the Deceptihogs to save Piggy Island from the crazed EggBots created by the EggSpark. And in the latest chapter of the game, they have finally gotten their hands on the EggSpark. But true to their deceptive nature, the Deceptihogs take the EggSpark for their own gain.
Hence the title of the new chapter, “Deceptihogs Revenge.”
Check out the “VHS-Rip” trailer for Deceptihogs Revenge, which makes me wish Rovio would greenlight an Angry Birds Transformers animated series done in the same retro style:

Deceptihogs Revenge comes as part of the first update to Angry Birds Transformers, which also brings new customization items, healing Energon Bots, screenshot-sharing support, and Metal-powered graphics enhancements.
Angry Birds Transformers was hailed as AppAdvice’s Game of the Week shortly after its release.
