Twitter and Google have just announced a major new partnership. Starting today, real-time content from Twitter will now appear on Google search results in the iOS app and mobile site.

As you can see, a Google search on Taylor Swift will prominently showcase her recent tweets. And a search for the #MadMen hashtag will show relevant news and tweets about the recent series finale.

When tapping on a tweet in the search results, you’ll automatically be taken to Twitter’s site to explore even more.

The official Google iOS app can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. It’s universal and designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. An update to the app earlier this month brought new and colorful search results for movies, books, famous people, and photos.

Tweets will currently only appear in a Google search for U.S. users searching in English. The desktop Web version is coming soon, and both companies said the feature will be arriving to more countries in the “coming months.”
