The SoundCover from Onanoff adds two flat-panel speakers into a cover for your iPad Air or iPad Air 2
Onanoff has just introduced an interesting new accessory. Along with being able to protect an iPad Air or iPad Air 2, the SoundCover also offers two built-in flat panel speakers.
Just 14mm thin, and weighing in at a little more than a pound, users can connect any Bluetooth device to the cover. It’s also designed to produce a 360-degree audio field that can be up to 400 percent louder than the iPad’s speaker.
Along with listening to music, movies, or other media, the cover allows users to take and receive phone calls with the built-in microphone. The speaker’s 3,300 mAH battery can provide up to 15 hours of music playback before needing to be recharged.
And when you’re done with music, the iPad clips into the SoundCover with the screen facing in to protect it from scratches.
Available in four different colors – silver, gold, space gray, and tactical black – the SoundCover retails for $199 and can be purchased from Onanoff’s site now.
While it may not be for every user, the SoundCover does sound like a great idea for someone needing a portable and compact Bluetooth speaker to take on the road. I’m interested to try one out soon and testing out the sound quality. The iPad Air protection also looks to be a great bonus.
