Powerful photo app VSCO Cam adds Collections in a new update
A must-have app for photography fans – VSCO Cam – has just been updated with a great new way to curate and showcase content from others
The main draw in version 4.3 is the new Collections feature.
Curating content
Developer Visual Supply Co. designed Collections to help feature the great images shared in the app and allow users to better connect with each other.
When you find a great image using the Explore or Search function in the app, simply double tap it to save and then publish that image in your own Collection. And if someone publishes one of your images to their Collection, you’ll receive a message in the app’s notification center.
Here’s a comprehensive how-to that explains Collections in more depth.
The update also allows users to take photos using the volume button.
Final words
VSCO Cam is a universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
While it might not be as well known as other similar apps, VSCO Cam is a great place to start if you’re looking to take your photography skills to the next level and are looking for something more than the usual photos found on Instagram. Earlier this year, we named it one of our Top 10 iPhone apps that you aren’t using.
And new Collections feature will help showcase great images from both new and long-time users.
