This week in accessories: Soundfreaq Sound Kick 2 and more
Welcome back to our weekly look at some of the newest accessories to hit the market for all of your iOS devices. In this edition, we’re highlighting two great Bluetooth speakers, a powerful backup battery, and more.
Soundfreaq Sound Kick 2
Soundfreaq has just introduced a new version of one of my all-time favorite Bluetooth speakers. The Sound Kick 2 features two 2.3-inch custom drivers and a front-facing passive radiator to help kick up the bass. Soundfreaq’s own UQ3 technology is designed to provide an immersive stereo experience. It’s also water resistant and should be able to handle splashes of water, or even a trip into the shower. The built-in battery can provide up to eight hours of music playback on a single charge.
Retailing for $99.99, the Sound Kick 2 can be purchased directly from Soundfreaq’s site or your local Target store.
Satechi SX20 Energy Station
An inexpensive way to keep all of your gadgets charged up, Satechi’s SX20 Energy Station packs a huge 20,000 mAH battery, which can charge your iPhone 6 Plus almost seven times. It offers two 1A and two 2.4A USB charging ports. Along with an aluminum exterior, the battery pack also sports a battery indicator light and a built-in LED flashlight.
The SX20 is available to purchase from Amazon.com now for $39.99. If you’re looking for lower-capacity models, a 10,000 mAH power bank is $29.99 while a 5,000 mAH version is $19.99.
Bracketron JamSpot
Bracketron’s new JamSpot, along with acting as a tablet stand for your iPad or iPad mini, doubles as a portable Bluetooth speaker. It’s adjustable and can be configured in a number of different angles. When you’re done, it can also be folded down to fit in any bag. The battery can last for up to 10 hours on a single charge.
JamSpot retails for $79.99 and can be purchased on Bracketron’s site now.
Elevation Dock 3
Compatible with the iPhone 5/5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus, the Elevation Dock 3 is made with solid, aircraft-grade aluminum. With nano suction pads on the bottom, it can easily attach to pretty much any smooth non-porous surfaces like wood, laminate, glass, granite, and more. If it ever losses suction, just wipe the bottom clean and let it air dry. It should even accommodate a number of iPhone cases. A Lightning adapter is included with the dock.
You can preorder the dock now from Bite My Apple for $89.99. Shipping is expected to begin in a week.
