Ski Safari 2 will land next week offering more endless runner fun
I’m a sucker for endless runners with a twist. And a sequel to one of my favorites, Ski Safari, is landing on the App Store next week. The news was first reported by TouchArcarde.
Aptly named Ski Safari 2, the title will see gamers hit the slopes to once again outrun a massive avalanche. Along with Sven from the original game, the sequel will also feature a new female player named Evana.
Here’s a gameplay preview video. Click here if you can’t see it.
Great ready for multiplayer madness
But that is far from the only new additions. Along with swipe-based tricks, you’ll be able to hop on snowboards and play in three different environments. Most interestingly, a local multiplayer mode will allow four gamers to race against each other in two different modes.
With the game’s new photo sharing feature, you’ll even be able to capture photos of some of your best moments. Or maybe even a Yeti sighting.
Wrapup
Arriving next Thursday, Aug. 27, Ski Safari 2 will cost $1.99 to download and will be universal for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. And if you can’t wait until then, the original game can be downloaded now for $0.99.
You can also download Ski Safari: Adventure Time for $0.99. That game features the same skiing dynamics, but with the gang from the popular Cartoon Network series.
The sequel looks to offer the same casual gameplay that’s great for the entire family. The original is easy to learn but difficult to master so you’ll definitely come back for more action.
While we’re in the middle of a brutally hot summer, at least here in Texas, I’m looking forward to trying out Ski Safari 2 and dreaming about what cold weather actually feels like.
