Apple, according to recent reports, has brought a brand new Product Red leather case for its iPhone 6s and 6s Plus to retail stores around the world, furthering the selection of products it offers in a bid to raise cash for the Bono-backed Global Fund. The news comes in time for World AIDS Day, which takes place annually on Dec. 1.

Leather and silicone, too

Product Red silicone cases have been available in the Apple Online Store since September, when the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus launched online. Yet a leather option was curiously missing — that is, until now.

According to iGeneration, Product Red leather cases for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have been spotted in an Apple Retail Store in France. Since the report surfaced, Apple appears to have updated its own website, adding the option of purchasing a Product Red leather case for the current-generation iPhone handsets. At present, the Product Red leather case is available for $45, and it is shipping within one business day.

Another red product in a long, long line

Apple has, indeed, been offering Product Red accessories online for some time, culminating most recently with the launch of a Product Red Apple Watch Sport Band back in September. Cases for both the iPhone and iPad have long been available, and Apple has even ran special Red promotions online in celebration of World AIDS Day.

Of course, today’s news means that a Product Red leather case for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus is available for customers in time for World AIDS Day, on Dec. 1, with a percentage of gross profits made from these accessories going to the Global Fund.
