The mobile edition of the latest installment in the popular series of football management simulation games developed by Sports Interactive and published by Sega has been released. That’s right: The 2016 edition of Football Manager Mobile (formerly known as Football Manager Handheld) has kicked its way to iOS.

Mobile management

Football Manager Mobile 2016 is a single-player sports simulation game that lets you manage your club, which you can choose from major European leagues and several countries around the world, toward victory. And true to its “mobile” designation, it enables you to play in short bursts even while you’re on the go and allows you to access all of the information you need through mobile-optimized interface screens.

Tactical triumph

The game is decidedly focused on the planning and executions of tactics. “Take greater control of your squad with the introduction of new tactical instructions,” Sega notes. “You can choose where your team concentrates its passing, as well as selecting your main attacking threat and creative outlet – and even advise your goalkeeper on distribution.”

Football Manager Mobile 2016 also sees the introduction of coaching badges that reflect your management style. Bag the bronze, score the silver, or go for the gold.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Football Manager Mobile 2016 is available now on the App Store for $8.99, with a $13.99 in-app purchase offered for unlocking all items.

The release of Football Manager Mobile 2016 comes just a week after the launch of Football Manager 2016 on desktop and console.
