Save PDF versions of websites to your Dropbox with a new update
The popular Dropbox app has just been updated to version 4.1 with the addition of some nice new features.
First up, the “Save to Dropbox” extension has been made even better. Users with iOS 8 or 9 can save a PDF version of websites directly to their Dropbox from Safari. To flip on the extension, you’ll need to select the Share button in Safari and toggle the extension from the More section.
Users can now also copy files and folders. Select multiple items or tap the downward arrow to copy.
Touch ID support has also been enabled for anyone using App Extensions.
Here are the rest of the changes:
• Small improvements to make the app more efficient in utilizing device space • Better handling of international characters when viewing files sorted by name • Accessibility improvements • Dismiss gesture works better for closing out the actions menu and files with comments • File or Folder is now read after the file or folder name • Fixed a rare issue where folders named with Greek characters would fail to load or generate links • Fixed an issue where photos would appear blurry on a cellular connection for iPhone 6 and newer devices • Addressed several edge cases to reduce those pesky crashes
A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, Dropbox can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. All users receive 2GB of free storage.
A subscription plan, which provides 1TB of space, costs $9.99 per month. It can be unlocked with an in-app purchase. You can save by purchasing a three-month subscription for $25.99 or 1-year for $99.99.
