Tomb-raiding puzzle game Lara Croft Go updated with free expansion
Square Enix is giving you something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving week. That is, if you’re a fan of its tomb-raiding turn-based puzzle game, Lara Croft Go.
Lara Croft goes a-puzzling
Based on the acclaimed brainteasing gameplay of Hitman Go, Lara Croft Go has you controlling the titular archaeologist-adventurer to navigate challenging spatial puzzles. But it’s not only about making your way around fixed and tight spaces, but it’s also about collecting artifacts and surviving close encounters with deadly traps and creatures.
Here’s the teaser trailer for Lara Croft Go, which was posted by Square Enix when the developer announced the game in June:

Lara Croft and the Shard of Life
Lara Croft Go was released to much acclaim in late August with 75 puzzles split into five chapters.
Now, three months later, Lara Croft Go has been updated to version 2.0 with a new chapter containing 26 new puzzles. This first expansion brings the games’s content total to 101 puzzles across six chapters.
Titled “The Shard of Life,” the sixth chapter presents a new adventure for Lara as she explores a mysterious new location in the form of the Cave of Fire, with a new obsidian stone to discover and two new artifacts to collect. It promises to present hard challenges as well as the enemies Lara is set to come across have the ability to regenerate after some time.
Moreover, the new chapter introduces a couple of new costumes for Lara. There’s the new classic Lara outfit and there’s the fan-favorite Angel of Darkness outfit, which you can unlock by reassembling the Sacred Beetle.
Of course, with a new chapter come new achivements as well.
