Help select the official name for The Sandbox 2, arriving sometime this year
Minecraft: Pocket Edition isn’t the only sandbox-building game in town for your iPhone or iPad. Developer Pixowl is planning to introduce the The Sandbox 2 sometime this year. Instead of a sequel, the new game is described as a better version of the original.
Pixowl has been keeping gamers informed about the game’s progress on the TouchArcade forums. And a new teaser trailer has recently been released. Click here if you can’t see it.
The new game will offer a number of improvements. Along with higher-resolution pixel graphics, the world size is 10 times larger. Gamers will also be able to design their own characters, control characters in the game to test a level design, and take a look at what other players are doing for a dose of inspiration.
And along with taking a look at the game’s progress in the forums, you can even help select a new name for the game. Some of the possible choices include The Sandbox 2, The Sandbox Legend, and more. You can cast your vote here.
If you can’t wait for the new game, you can download the original game now on the App Store for free. It’s designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and all iPad models. Read more about it in our original review.
The Sandbox 2 definitely looks awesome, and we’ll make sure to keep you up to date when we receive any more information about the game.
