A big Todoist update brings a native Apple Watch app, 3D Touch support and more
The popular and powerful to-do app Todoist has just received a big update to version 11.0.
A native watch app
First up, the companion Apple Watch app now runs natively on the wearable device. That brings a number of improvements for watch users. Along with faster loading times, you can also use customizable Complications to see the number of tasks due today or the next upcoming task.
With a Complication selected, you can Time Travel using the Digital Crown to view upcoming tasks along with due dates and times.
Thanks to interactive notifications, you can dictate replies to comments. Here’s an interactive preview from our sister site WatchAware.
The company has also released a new video that showcases a number of the changes. Click here if you can’t see it.
Inside the app, you can take a quick Peek at any URL in the task names or comments. A longer press will Pop the information into the fullscreen.
Any tasks or projects will now appear in Spotlight search in iOS 9 devices. Users can also respond to comments directly from the Notification Center widget.
Finally, iPad Pro users with Apple’s Smart Keyboard can now select a number of new keyboard shortcuts.
Wrap-up
Todoist is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
A yearly premium subscription can be unlocked with a $28.99 in-app purchase. Some of the many features unlocked in the premium version include automatic backups, custom filters, comments and file attachments, task search, and more.
