Size matters not as you battle to unlock Yoda in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes

A wise old man once said, “Do. Or do not. There is no try.” And now, in Electronic Arts’ newly updated Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, you can commit to do — not merely try — something great and new: unlocking none other than the wise old man himself.

From Thursday, Feb. 11, through Tuesday, March 15, you can get the powerful Jedi Grand Master Yoda in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes by participating in and dominating the special Grand Master’s Training event.

In this exclusive event, you have to assemble teams composed only of Jedi and battle through multiple difficulty event tiers to earn Grand Master Yoda shards, crystals, and credits, and to ultimately unlock a seven-star Grand Master Yoda.

“Each difficulty tier may be completed once, with the sought-after rewards of Grand Master Yoda shards, crystals, and heavy credit sums,” Electronic Arts explains. “Complete the majority of the difficulty tiers to earn enough shards to activate Grand Master Yoda himself, and complete all difficulty tiers to fully promote Grand Master Yoda to Seven Star! Plus, only a full party of Jedi may challenge the Grand Master, with each difficulty tier requiring the corresponding Star Rarity of the party members.”

Enjoy new features

In addition to the Grand Master’s Training event, the latest update to Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes delivers several new features.

There’s the new Shard Shop, where you can trade extra shards of any characters you’ve maxed out (i.e., promoted to seven stars) for new character shards.

There’s also an updated Arena screen that lets you preview a PvP opponent’s full squad, thereby enabling you to form a squad that could best challenge the enemy squad.

Furthermore, the game now provides Gear Found Notifications to let you know when items you’re seeking for your characters are awarded after battle.

The new update to the game also lets you collect bonus energy three times a day when you log in during the set times, and brings various bug fixes and performance improvements.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 8.0 or later, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is available on the App Store as a free-to-play title.

Launched in November, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is an RPG-style turn-based battle game where your goal is to become a Holotable master. To reach that goal you have to strategically assemble teams of heroes basically by mixing and matching characters from the “Star Wars” films and TV shows, and from both the light side and the dark side.
