It didn’t take much for a thief in New York City to walk away with more than $16,000 in iPhones from an Apple Store earlier this month.
A blue shirt
According to dnaInfo, a man dressed “similarly” to store employees walked right into an electronics repair room at the SoHo Apple Store at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1.
He walked out with 19 iPhones grabbed from a drawer. The iPhones were then passed to an accomplice who then walked out of the store with the handsets hidden under his shirt.
Police were still investigating the theft.
I suspect the real store employees will soon be receiving a refresher course in loss prevention.
