Apple Cuts the Price on Some Higher-Capacity iPad Pro Models

After today’s special media event introducing the iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Series 2, Apple quietly made some notable changes to the iPad line.

Most notably, Apple has cut the price on 128 and 256GB versions of both the 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

12.9-inch iPad Pro
128GB – $899 (previously $949)
256GB – $999 (previously $1,099)
128GB Cellular + Wi-Fi – $1,029 (previously $1,079)
256GB Cellular + Wi-Fi – $1,129 (was $1,229)

9.7-inch iPad Pro
128GB – $699 (previously $749)
256GB – $799 (previously $899)
128GB Cellular + Wi-Fi – $829 (previously $879)
256GB Cellular + Wi-Fi – $929 (previously $1,029)

The price for the 32GB models remain the same. The larger version is $799 while the 9.7-inch model is $599 for the Wi-Fi only and $729 for the Cellular + Wi-Fi model.

There are also a few changes to the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4 lineup. For the iPad Air 2, you can purchase a 32 or 128GB version for $399 and $499, respectively. Any model with cellular capability is still $130 more.

Any iPad mini 4 buyers can now purchase a 32 or 128GB tablet for the same $399 and $499 price points. That’s $100 less expensive than previously. The 16GB version of the tablet has been discontinued.

For anyone searching for a bargain, the 32GB iPad mini 2 is $269. Previously, the 16GB version was sold at that price.
