Apple Officially Releases iOS 10.3, watchOS 3.2, tvOS 10.2
Just a few days Apple unveiled a number of new products, including a lower-cost iPad and special edition iPhone 7, it’s time for new software. Everyone can now download iOS 10.3, watchOS 3.2, and tvOS 10.2 directly from Apple.
iOS 10.3
It's now easier to track down lost AirPods using the Find my iPhone app.
Any iPhone or iPad owner can update to iOS 10.3 over-the-air or through iTunes.
The major addition in the update should be music to any AirPods owners ears.
The Find my iPhone app has been updated to allow users to track down a lost AirPod by reporting each earbuds last known location. If in range, you can also have each earbud play a sound to help locate it, much like numerous Bluetooth trackers on the market.
Other improvements include the new Apple File System (APFS) that could free up some space on your device, a revamped Apple ID profile screen in Settings, and minor UI changes to CarPlay.
More about APFS
watchOS 3.2
Activate Theater Mode by swiping up from any watch face and selecting the icon in the Apple Watch's Control Center.
To update your watch with the latest software, open up the Apple Watch app on the iPhone and head to the My Watch tab. Select General, and then choose Software Update. Then follow the on-screen instructions.
Just to note, your watch needs to be connected to a charger and have more than 50 percent battery life remaining.
The watch software sports two major new features – Theater Mode and SiriKit.
With Theater Mode, users can mute the sound on their watch and disable waking the screen when they raise their wrist. They’ll still be able to receive notifications with haptics. Those can be viewed by tapping the screen or pressing the Digital Crown.
SiriKit will allow users to accomplish tasks like book a ride, send a message, make a payment, or make other requests to an app. The functionality arrived on the iPhone and iPad in iOS 10.
