July 14, 2016

In another update providing additional channels, you can now use Siri or the Search app to access content from Comedy Central, MTV, and VH1 on your Apple TV. Search by show title, actor name, or a genre, and relevant content from these channels will now appear in the results.

This is great news for Apple TV users in the United States as the list of television and movie providers accessible with Siri or the Search app is now at 35. From ABC and A&E to Hulu and Netflix to SyFy and USA, the list continues to grow.

So, the next time you are in the mood for something funny or just plain goofy, just say, “Siri, show me ‘South Park’” or “Siri, show me ‘Ridiculousness’” and you will see those Comedy Central and MTV shows pop up.

If you prefer to give Siri a rest, you can use the Apple TV Search app and see those channels and shows displayed in the results.

For a complete listing of the television and movie channels and apps that work with Siri and the Search app in the United States, you can check out Apple’s support page. For those in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and United Kingdom, your options are still limited to iTunes and Netflix.
