Apple Unveils New iPod touch With A10 Chip, 256GB Option
The iPod touch lives on. Apple has just unveiled a new version of the venerable model only offering under-the-hood improvements.
A Faster A10 Chip
The biggest change in the new model is the addition of an A10 Fusion chip that will allow for Group FaceTime and ARKit augmented reality apps.
Apple is offering a 256GB storage option for the first time.
Beyond those additions, the iPod touch stays exactly the same as the previous model. The screen is still 4-inches and there is no Touch ID or Face ID for added security.
The 32GB model is $199 while the 128GB and 256GB model are $299 and $399 respectively. Buyers can select from one of six colors – space gray, white, gold, blue, pink and (PRODUCT)RED.
You can order the new models today from Apple’s site. The new iPod touch models will be in Apple Stores later this week.
