Once a small niche, the podcasting world has exploded with a great number of shows covering almost any topic imaginable. And it’s sometimes hard for new fans to figure out where exactly they would like to jump in and start listening.
But a new app, Aurora, wants to change that.
Discovering new podcasts
While you can use the app to listen to shows, the standout features revolve around podcast discovery.
After getting the app set up, you can head to the Editorial tab to see podcasts recommended by the editors. You can also view the Feed of podcasts that will show personalized recommendations after learning more about what you’re interested in.
Along with being able to search for specific podcasts, you can also share episodes with friends. As a nice touch, you can either subscribe to a podcast or simply queue an episode to try without commitment. Episodes can also be downloaded to listen to offline.
