Apple Turning to Freelancers to Improve Apple Maps Data
Apple is apparently ramping up its effort to provide correct Apple Maps data. According to a new report from iGeneration, Apple has created an online Web app, TryRating, that employs freelancers to confirm and improve points-of-interests, waypoints, and other information.

TryRating pays freelancers about 54 cents per each tasks and limits everyone to a maximum of 600 tasks per week.
For each task, the employee is shown a map and a specific search query. They’ll need to rate the quality of the results, make sure the addresses are correct, and more.
The report states that Apple is soon planning to ramp up TryRating by the end of this month.
Freelancers aren’t the only way Apple has reportedly been trying to improve Apple Maps data. In December, a report states that Apple plans to improve the service using drones and providing users indoor navigation features.
Apple could announce new Maps feature for iOS 11 at the WWDC keynote on Monday, June 5. The event starts at 10 a.m. PT in San Jose, California.
