Full-Screen Ads Are Coming to the Popular Instagram Stories Feature
The popular Instagram Stories feature is now accessed by more than 150 million users. But there will soon be a downside to that popularity – at least for users who don’t like invasive advertisements.
A screen full of fun
Instagram's Business Tools will soon include insight on individual stories.
In a new blog post, the social network announced that along with detailed insights for advertisers, full-screen ads are coming to the feature. A handful of 30 advertisers will start testing the feature soon. A larger rollout will more than likely happen after that test.
Stories originally launched back in August. And taking a page from Snapchat, all content posted to features disappears after 24 hours.
Instagram is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
In the last part of 2016, Instagram did a great job adding a number of features to the app including live video and disappearing messages, the ability to save posts to view later, and a handsfree mode to make starting a video easier.
