Halide Camera Update Brings an Apple Watch App and More
One of the best third-party camera apps available, Halide Camera, has added a number of new features in the move to version 1.8.
With the watch app, users can frame shots, trigger the shutter, and more.
Easily the biggest addition to the app is a new companion title for the Apple Watch. On the wearable device, photographers can now frame shots, trigger the Halide Camera shutter, and even set timers.
If you don’t have an Apple Watch, there’s no need to worry. Users can now set a timer of 3, 10, or 30 seconds. When active, you’ll see a countdown in the icon and the shuttle button as well. You can also see the timer countdown via the iPhone flash.
The app now also features a redesigned Photo Reviewer with a grid view.
Other improvements include the ability to easily enable and disable GPS location in images and support for accessibility feature including VoiceOver.
Halide Camera is designed for the iPhone and can be downloaded now on the App Store for $5.99.
Along with a specially-designed one hand mode for the iPhone X, the app can even capture images in Portrait Mode just like Apple’s built-in Camera app.
