Lofree Four Seasons Mechanical Keyboard Builds On Previous Success

One of AppAdvice’s favorite wireless keyboards is back for an encore. The Lofree Four Seasons Keyboard is available for pre-order through Indiegogo.

The company’s latest retro keyboard, which has already raised nearly $130,000 through crowdsourcing, is available in seasonal colors and offers three levels of LED backlighting. Usable wired or wirelessly, it works with iOS, Android, and Windows. Better still, it features a Mac layout.

Take a look:

The introduction of the Lofree Four Seasons Keyboard comes less than a year after the successful launch of the first-generation model which we first told you about in March 2017.

As we explained at the time, most modern keyboards use dome-switch technology which registers a keypress whenever you type and push down a silicone dome. When the dome collapses, it connects to two circuit traces.

Mechanical keyboards, by contrast, have real, physical switches that register as you type. These type of keyboards typically have a longer lifespan since you can remove and replace the keycaps.

Lofree takes this a step further by making keyboards that look like a work of art unlike other mechanical keyboards on the market.

The Lofree Four Seasons Keyboard, which has an expected shipping date of April 2018, will be available in four colors, including Aestival Blue, Hiberal Black, Vernal White, and Autumnal Gray.

Regularly priced at $139 the keyboard is available for up to 48 percent off through the Indiegogo campaign.

We don’t usually cover keyboards or Indiegogo projects here, but Lofree continues to be an exception. We continue to love the company’s first-mechanical keyboard and Poison Wireless Speaker, which we also told you about in 2017. Both products are now available to order through Amazon.com.
