The Logitech Circle Security Camera Now Offers Person Detection Technology
With the holiday season here, many of us are driving or flying to celebrate with friends and family. If you don’t want to pay for a full-fledged security system, there are a number of app-enabled cameras that can help keep watch while you’re away from home. And one of the best options, the Logitech Circle, has just been updated with a great new feature – person detection technology.
Circle Safe Premium
Along with the camera, you’ll need to be a Circle Safe Premium subscriber which costs $9.99 per month or $99.99 per camera yearly. Thanks to artificial intelligence technology, you can receive a smart alert an iOS device if the camera actually views a person. Other moving objects, like a pet, won’t trigger an alert.
That should definitely cut down on false alarms and make the camera an even better tool.
Another great premium feature is that users can define specific motion zones in the camera’s view. That means you will only receive an alert if motion is detected in that specific area.
With a premium subscription, you can also store and view 31 days of video footage and see customized day briefs. Those provide a quick-and-easy view of what happened in the camera’s view during a 24 hour period.
If you’re not interested in the premium subscription, there are also two other options. The free version can store 24 hours of video. Costing $3.99 per month, the Basic option stores video for up to two weeks. But neither offer person detection or motion zones.
Available to purchase now
The Logitech Circle is available in either black or white.
You can purchase the Logitech Circle now for $149.99. Buyers can select from either a white or black model to better match their interior. A two pack of cameras is $299.98.
Along with recording full 1,080p high-definition video, another great feature of the Circle is the built-in battery. You can move it off the charging ring when needed to a different spot. The camera will provide up to 12 hours of video coverage before needing to be recharged.
