Apple's macOS High Sierra Now Available to Download
A little less than a week after Apple released iOS 11, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11, Mac users can now download macOS High Sierra. It’s available on the Mac App Store.
The update is mostly focused on behind-the-scenes improvements.
The new software update is compatible with all Macs introduced in mid-2010 or later are compatible. Some MacBook and iMac computers introduced in late 2009 are also compatible.
Probably the most significant changes are behind-the-scenes. Apple File System is designed for all solid-state Macs and brings a number of upgrades like native encryption and much more.
It also feature the same High Efficiency Video Coding found in iOS 11 for better video compression.
The Photos app has been redesigned and has more editing tools for Live Photos and more. The great Memories feature has also been expanded with more than a dozen new categories.
Safari can block any autoplay video and has better privacy protection. Finally, Siri has the more natural voice found in iOS 11.
