Apple has just released another ad for the fourth-generation Apple TV. This time, the ad highlights the functionality of the Siri Remote, which comes with the set-top box. And it does so with the special participation of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, best known as Jamie Lannister in “Game of Thrones,” and Alison Brie, who portrayed Annie Edison in “Community.”

Titled “The Kiss,” the minute-long ad sees Coster-Waldau and Brie rehearsing a kissing scene in a trailer with her, much to his chagrin, apparently intent on basing their performance on a lip-locking session in one of his films, which is being played on the Apple TV right in front of them.

Siri Remote in hand, Brie asks to have the movie rewinded by a few seconds so she and Coster-Waldau can review the angle and tongue usage in Coster-Waldau’s previous kissing scene. She eventually asks Siri to find “Game of Thrones,” whereupon he decides to take matters into his own hands and tries to set a more romantic mood by asking Siri to open Apple Music and play music by the R&B singer Jeremih. At that point, she realizes that they’re “good” and that they’re “overthinking it.”

Pretty amusing stuff. See for yourself:

The Siri Remote lets you ask more of your Apple TV.

The Siri Remote is one of the key selling points of the fourth-generation Apple TV, which was released in late October. In addition to being a touch-optimized remote featuring swipe functionality that supersedes the old remote’s arrow buttons, it has integrated support for Siri, enabling voice commands for controlling playback, finding content across services, opening specific apps, and playing songs from Apple Music.

In highlighting the Siri Remote, the new Apple TV ad deviates slightly from Apple’s established trend of promoting the set-top box’s ability to run a variety of apps, which are available through the Apple TV’s own App Store. However, just like the previous app-focused ads that preceded it, it ends with the tagline, “The future of television,” and the Apple TV logo over a variation of the SMPTE color bars TV test pattern with colors inspired by Apple’s original rainbow logo.
