New Colors of the Sonos One Smart Speaker Arrive in September
The Sonos One smart speaker will get a lot more colorful in September. Sonos announced today that it is partnering with Danish design brand HAY for a number of unique colors.
A red, yellow, and green version of the speaker will retail for $229. That’s a $30 premium over the black or white models originally introduced in October.
The HAY Sonos One Limited Edition Collection will be available through the Sonos site and Sonos flagship locations.
While Apple’s HomePod has struggled to gain any type of momentum in part to its lack of integration with streaming services, the Sonos speakers currently supports the growing Amazon Alexa ecosystem.
And still in the plans for this year, the speaker will add compatibility with Apple’s AirPlay 2 protocol and Siri support. When enabled, Apple users can ask Siri to control music on the speaker.
- Will eventually support Apple AirPlay 2, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa
- Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, Pandora, SiriusXM, and TuneIn support on Day 1
- Use with the Sonos app
